Overview
Experience the “Demonic Charm” of Jiami Peak. This 2-day intensive trek covers both the Satellite Peak (4550m) and the Main Ridge (4400m). Starting from Chengdu, this route is designed for experienced hikers seeking high-altitude views of the Lianhua Snow Mountain range and breathtaking sunrises above the clouds.
Itinerary
Day 1: Chengdu – Jiami Peak (Satellite Peak Route)
Trekking: 7km (Round trip) | Ascent: 600m | Starting Altitude: 3750m
07:20 – 08:00: Departure from Chengdu (Yipintianxia/South Railway Station).
12:30: Arrive at Xiazuozi Tunnel; 1.5-hour transfer to the Base Cabin.
14:00: Start trekking along the 4550m Satellite Peak line. Experience alpine pastures and dense forests before the final 600m ridge sprint.
17:00: Summit the ridge for a panoramic sunset view of Jiami Peak’s western face.
Evening: Return to the cabin for a traditional Tibetan Hotpot and stargazing.
Accommodation: Alpine Log Cabin (Alt: 3750m)
Day 2: Jiami Peak (Sunrise Ridge) – Chengdu
Trekking: 5km (Round trip) | Ascent: 600m
04:00: Early start for the 4400m Ridge Route to catch the sunrise.
06:00 – 07:00: 360° views of the Lianhua Snow Mountains, Mt. Zuopeng, and the sea of clouds.
08:00: Breakfast at the cabin and pack up for descent.
18:00 – 19:00: Estimated arrival back in Chengdu.
